Faded Earrings
Like leaves falling from a tree, the petals drift from the surface, like memories trying to escape us. They fade from vivid to vague, from gold to black. The form waves, creating an interestingly beautiful, glittering surface.
Each petal in these earrings have been meticulously hand sawn using a 0.4mm saw blade. This process is intrinsic to my practice, it is therapeutic and calm. The earrings have been decorated with 24ct gold foil through the process of Keum Boo, then faded to black through oxidisation, highlighting the fade.
