Beginners Enamel Pendants, Earrings & Play Workshop - Saturday 6th March

Time: 10am - 4pm

In this full day workshop we'll be exploring some beginner techniques in enamelling. Enamelling is the technique of using powdered glass to create beautifully colourful jewellery. We'll be focusing specifically on the "sifting" technique, using templates to build up layers of colour and design. I'll teach you how to fire your piece properly, both in the kiln and with a torch, so you'll come away confident with both methods.

I'll have a range of colours for you to play with, as well as some silver foil for embellishments, and we'll experiment with different templates together. If you have any of your own you'd like to bring along, you're very welcome to.

We'll be working in copper for this workshop, and you're welcome to turn your pieces into earrings, a pendant, or simply keep them as samples and pieces of art. If you'd like to work in silver instead, that's available for an additional cost.

This workshop is ideal for complete beginners interested in trying jewellery making in a warm, friendly, and relaxed environment. No previous experience is necessary.
- Reading glasses if you need them
- Tie long hair back for safety
- If you’re making the rings for someone else, please bring either their ring size or one of their rings so we can size your creations accurately.
- All tools and materials needed to create your stacking rings
- 3 hours of tuition in a small group of 4 students, ensuring plenty of personal attention
