In this full day workshop, you will design and make a sterling silver stone set ring using traditional jewellery making techniques.
You will begin by choosing from a selection of different shank shapes to create your ring band, allowing you to develop a design that suits your style. You will then learn how to make a silver tube setting which will be soldered onto the top of your ring.
Through clear demonstrations and guided practice, you will be supported through each stage of the process. During the day you will develop key jewellery making skills including accurate filing, soldering, stone setting and polishing.
To complete your ring you will select a cubic zirconia from a range of colours and learn how to set it securely into your handmade silver setting.
This workshop is suitable for beginner to intermediate level. Some previous jewellery making experience is helpful, however it is not essential as support will be provided throughout the process.
